My weekend [Miss Can't Get Right]

 Happy April fools day!

I'm really not in a cheerful mood, to be honest. but I thought I should sound excited...

It's Sunday night and I'm here at work, tired, stressed out, just so overwhelmed... My Easter didn't go as I planned. I worked last night over night too and I was so tired I went home a crashed for two hours... Just ruining my whole day. Then is rained.. It was just a bad day. This weekend was absolutely terrible too .. like this must be Aprils fools weekend.... Boyfriend problems, job problems... I just can't get right! - btw this was my nick name back n the day lol..I wish I would have taken a picture of this "name" that I had for myself on the back of my car window........ now that is funny....... I'm ready for this next week to hurry up and get over with too. FOUR nights of overnight shifts. I basically will live out of this hotel for the next week. Since they did this to me, knowing I hate it and it is killing me. I'm going to save some money in the process. MY GAS that is..

March Budget

So I started keeping track of what I spend, and hopefully trying to stay within a reasonable budget. My new love for thrifting has become something that I do to help my retail therapy... when I'm stressed, I shop... It's actually a really bad habit.

Before last month I used to always go crazy shopping... until I found the perfect thrift store. I have been working here in Williamsburg for almost a year & just now going to it. It's my local Goodwill. It's not your average Goodwill. Well not for me anyways. It's right next to very "high end" college campus. William and Mary....

It's color coordinated and very reasonable prices! I'm talking $1.99 for a tank top! doesn't matter the brand!  I haven't been able to actually just go in and look and when I did go my phone was dead so I couldn't get a picture but here are just some of the things I got this past month...

Jacket - $5 Thrifted

Dress - $2 Thrifted

Leggings - $2 on sale @ Charlotte Russe

Boots - $20 on sale @ Charlotte Russe
Watch - $10 Wal-Mart

 Jacket  - $5 Walmart

Shirt - $1.99 Thrifted

Boots - $23 Gifted Madden Girl

Also-

My budget was $50.

So I spent a total of :$60.

As a beginner with a shopping addiction I think I did great! I set my budget really low, in hopes to keep my shopping to a minimal...It kind of worked.. So I think I'll keep a reasonable budget for the next few months.

I'll keep it at $75. for the next few months.

Best Fashion Selections for Zombieification

Hubs and daughter are on a "The Walking Dead" bender... Freaking marathon yesterday night. Marathoning it out today. I can't stomach the show, man... it's just a bit too gory for me. I've never been into the scary stuff. I'm just a wuss at heart. Law & Order is pretty much as "scary" as I go.

So we were talking about what would be the awesomest ensemble to get "Zombiefied" in. My first thought.... BAM!! BANANA COSTUME!!
and THANK YOU INTERNET!! Someone already did it, and has a photo of it. How amaze.

2nd... ZOMBIE HIPPIE. Just walk into Ann Arbor and you'll probably find someone dressed like this, Zombie that dude. He's so asking for it.

Number 3... ZOMBIE FAIRY. I mean, it's got to be awesome to have wings and a tutu... BUT WAIT,  COULD IT FLY!!?? H says it would "limp flutter", that may be very very dangerous.

Great, now I'm going to have nightmares about Zombie Fairies squiggle-flying after me.

Asparagus German style

After a fun and rainy day in Basel it was time to make dinner. I was in for more local traditions as the whole family was gonna make asparagus German style together. You peel the asparagus and boil them. Then you also need a nice assortment of hams, bake some pancakes on the side grab some mayo and of course delicious white wine selected by Timo. ;)

I do like asparagus but I've never eaten it this way. It was kind of refreshing and nice plus close to no calories. After dinner the kids went in their rooms to play a computer game against each other, it was almost like being home with my brothers listening them playing each other. Jutta and I headed downstairs to watch a movie. It took a while to choose one from Apple TV but we decided to go for No Strings Attached starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. Have you guys seen it? It's hilarious and I laugh every time. Since the others were upstairs we got the big couch all to ourselves with nice warm blankets and Fazer chocolate as our company.

A little surprise in the mailbox

Good wine makes cooking more fun ;)

 Family dinner

Sunday Easy

          Moroccan Black Soap-Citrus

Good Morning! Not only is it Sunday, its Easter Sunday! Happy Easter and Happy Passover! Relax and enjoy the day with your family and friends. Personally, I've got sunday dinner planned with my family. However, I'm way to old for an egg hunt. Lol! Since the arrival of spring, some of you my still be suffering from dry winter skin. Chaacoca's argan oil and Moroccan black soap mask are treatments that deeply hydrates your body from head to toe. Enjoy!

Lucky day in Basel

Yesterday Jutta, Alexandra and I headed to Basel for some shopping and to spend the day together. It was really rainy and the weather for driving wasn't that good. There was a lot of traffic, many people were heading skiing. Even Basel was really rainy. We walked around in and out of stores, the city felt quite empty. We stopped by to get some delicious pretzels and then we found this great shoe store. They had a very nice selection, especially Tod's loafers and everything 20 per cent off! Can you believe that? Of course I had to buy a pair and the ladies found some shoes too! ;)

Strolling out happy about our lucky findings we headed for the bridge and took a "ferry" from the other side of the river Rhine to the Münster church. Back in the center we found a nice little Italian restaurant where we sat down and relaxed a bit. It was time to get back on the road and we headed for the Dreiländerdeck. This is a point where you can literally be in three countries (Switzerland, Germany and France) at the same time, but not many people know about it since it's a bit hidden.

On our way back to Oberkirch we talked and listened to a Finnish singer Laura Voutilainen. We got back and then it was time to make dinner. But more about that later! :)
