2 recipes, what!

Hey you guys!

Today I have two recipes I want to share..Even though I'm sure they are every where, because I pinned them this past week to my pinterest! I basically want to share with you how good they are!

The first one is going to be a oven baked oatmeal casserole.

Baked Oatmeal Casserole
Total Time: 50 minutes
Serves: 6 (unless you want it all for yourself!)

Ingredients;
2 cups oats - I used whole grain
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup walnut pieces
1/2 cup blueberries {any berries work}
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
2 cups milk
1 large egg
3 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 ripe banana, peeled, 1/2-inch slices

 First you preheat
oven to 375°F
& spray the pan/dish your using.  Mix the oats, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, half the nuts, half the chocolate chips, half the berries in one bowl.

In another bowl mix the egg, milk, butter and vanilla extract.

Put the dry mixture in the dish and pour the milk mixture,

making sure you are covering all of the oats.

Add the remaining berries, chocolate chips, bananas and nuts on top. Place in the oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.

It's very simple quick and easy! The best part is there is enough in this recipe that I can eat this every morning for a whole week! Talk about greeeaaat! You can also change up the recipe like I did. Add more berries and less banana or add more of both! I added more banana and less berries I'm not a fan of berries being baked (yuck) lol

Next, and my favorite, is the "Skinny strawberry red wine sangria"! This isn't the actual recipe, I was in a rush and being cheap So I didn't soak the strawberries in the red wine and I didn't use lime sparkling water. shoot me lol This turned out so great, I wish I could have taken back to Virginia with me!

Did you know consuming 8 strawberries gives you the same amount of vitamin C as
you’d get from one orange. Some research has shown that strawberries may
reduce inflammation and protect LDL (“the bad cholesterol”) from
oxidation. Eating strawberries in your diet may also help manage blood
sugar by improving how well insulin works in our bodies.

Studies also show that strawberries can make you look younger ladies! Eat up! Or in this case drink up! haha Okay, now back to the recipe...

Strawberry Sangria

Total time: 5 minutes

Makes 10 servings

Ingredients;

1 bottle red wine

1/2 bottle of Sparkling Water

2 cups strawberries

                         Add 2 cups of the sliced strawberries to a large pitcher.

                                       Pour wine over
the strawberries.

Add sparkling water.

And you have yourself a fast easy and delish drink!!!!

Me and my cousins enjoyed it! =)
