Hi, there! I'm Kelly from the beauty blog A Thing of Beauty with a guest post on matching your lipstick with your nail polish-a common problem with an easy fix!

Matching your nail polish to your lipstick can be tricky-especially since you don't want one to overpower the other. Here's four examples of how to match everything together!

-Milani's High Voltage lipstick with a heart glitter nail polish is a great way to wear red lipstick without being too matchy with red nails, as well. The hearts aren't a solid color so they definitely won't compete with some show stopper lips!

-Revlon's Minted nail polish with Wet 'n Wild's lipstick in Just Peachy is a really good color combo. Light peaches and mint greens also compliment each other well, despite being in opposite color families. They go great paired with a floral dress!

-Ulta's Super Shiny lipgloss in Whisper with a glittery gold nail polish is perfect for those who don't want to go full on with a lipstick. Because the lips aren't so impactful I love to pair them with a glittering, eye-catching nail polish!

-Milani's lipstick in Uptown Mauve for those who like a brighter, purple toned lip goes great with a grape polish. I used Wet 'n Wild's Bite the Bullet which is a great sheer polish to go with such a bright lip.

So there you have it-four ways to match your lipstick in harmony! Tell us in the comments below how you match your lipstick & nail polish!

Thanks for reading,

Kelly xoxo
