MY avant garde *DRAMA FILLED* best dressed at the Golden Globes 2014

After the People's Choice red carpet looking like a "Sale Rack" according to Amy O'Dell, I was a little afraid of what we would see at the Golden Globes.
I thought, "is it going to be a boring parade of office secretary cocktail dresses?" I HOPED TO HELL NOT.

And it WASN'T. It was WONDERFUL!! I had so many favorites, you must see them ALL!!

My #1 Best Dressed of the night was:
 Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren
Fit, color, cut, styling, makeup, hair, everything is PERFECT. I love her, she dresses so awesomely. Google image search her to see. She either has the best personal style of any star right now, or the best stylist, and really it doesn't matter which is the case, she is always looking fantastic.

Lupita even looks better than the model that wore the Ralph Lauren look on the runway!
Suck it, model!

The rest of my favs are in no particular order, I just loved them all and couldn't leave any out.

Amy Adams in Valentino
If you don't have boobs, wear the deep V. You might as well because you can! and it's really flattering and dangerous and interesting. Kate Hudson does not have boobs and she wears this look all the time. I love it. There's a lot of simplicity to this dress, but also a very rich expensive glamour in that the fabrics look like they were woven by the hands of god.

 Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive'
I mostly love this gown for the back. It's such an incredible shape, and the delicacy and lady like quality of the lace is brought to a screeching halt by that swath of skin. She always dresses so well.

Elisabeth Moss in J.Mendel
I have never placed Elisabeth on one of my Best Dressed lists before. But this gown is a knock-out and makes her look incredible even though I hate her because she beat out my love of my life Jessica Lange for the Golden Globe (damn you)

Julie Bowen in Carolina Herrera
This is the best I've ever seen Julie look. She doesn't look like a skeleton encased in a sheer veneer of skin, she is wearing color, which I love, and she looks happy. Perf.

Kate Mara in J.Mendel
Kate obviously has my heart because she's on "my stories" (aka American Horror Story), but I think this is a really daring sexy choice for a lady that really has a sweet girl-next-door face. It's all about the juxtaposition.
The only thing is that I wish she would have moved a little in it for the camera. Because as you can see below, the layers and layers of accordion pleated beauty and satin looked so gorgeous, but you can't see that standing still.

Laura Dern in Roberto Cavalli
At 46 with that SICK body, you wear what ever the hell you want. and I think this is interesting, not just overtly sexual (like things that heidi k usually picks) the "chain-mail" applique is really cool, the fit is insane, and she brought her Daddy as her date. How cute.

Lily Rabe in George Hobeika
Interesting , fun, modern. looks like someone at "The Capital" in the Hunger Games would wear this. LOL. The sequin detailing is so unique and it makes her look like a trillion bucks. Although I do love her wardrobe on American Horror Story, that flapper gear she wore was to die for.

Lizzy Caplan in Emilio Pucci
This is very Old Hollywood and ULTRA GLAMOUROUS on her. I know she's one of those silly comedic types, but I'm really glad that she decided to wear something like this, and not converse, because she looks stunning. I'd even venture to say that this dress looks better on Lizzy's petite 5'4'' frame than it does on the model's (below) 6'0'' frame. Bravo.

Maria Menounos in BCBG Max Azria
I have tried this dress on. You can get it at Somerset BCBG store right now if you want for like $200. I kind of love that she wore a low price point dress and just HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK.
She has an amazing figure, is a gorgeous lady and always wears color which I love. This pink hue suits her complexion perfectly, and the cut-outs are very flattering without being garish! Gorg

Sofia Vergara in Zac Posen
My god I love her in this dress. She looks like ROYALTY!!  I don't think there was another woman with this much charisma and glamour-power on the red carpet, she literally blew everyone away. The necklace SHINES against her perfect decolletage, the light hair, I mean this is HOLLYWOOD BABY
