Oven Fried Okra


                                           We love fried okra! Now there's a healthier version! This is a recipe for oven-fried okra- just 70 calories for 1/2 cup!! Ohh myy!! :)

 As a kid fried okra was a favorite my mother would cook. Some people are not a fan of okra because of the slimey texture but for those of us who are died hard okra fans here's a healthier; oven fried alternative. I think you'll love it! Here's what you'll need:

2 lbs. medium okra pods
2 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
How to Prepare:

Rinse the okra thoroughly in cold water. Place into a steaming basket over 1 to 2 inches of boiling water. Cover and cook until tender but crisp, about 5 minutes. Toss with the butter and salt. Serve warm. Serves 8.
