REVOLT

I know I have failed miserably at keeping up with my blog the past two weeks. I plan on changing that!

Another fail is my fitness! I really have been feeling so unmotivated. I don't know what's going on but I need to get it together because I've only lost 4 pounds this entire process... And that's not cool bro! I go to the gym, do MOST of the workouts, Zumba and have a personal trainer. like ah~! =\

Me after Zumba *Don't laugh at the sucks!*

Seeing my facebook revolt page gives me so much inspiration for working out... but when it comes to eating, my hours and hectic schedule make it real difficult to eat as often as I'm suppose to!

I was told I needed to eat more, and this being a problem as far as being on a budget is concerned! -_-

So I'm going to convince my mom to buy us some protein bars, LOL. That and actually trying to follow the meal plan like given should help me lose more then what I've been doing. I'm going to get it together before this 12 weeks is done! Even if I only lose 5lbs! =)

REVOLT

This past week was another detox week. It was the start to our last 6 weeks.. Let me tell you something. I am sick of salad and chicken at this point.

Since I'm still on my detox week and so I wanted to make the pancakes how I saw floating online for the past few weeks...

Soooooo the other day I tried making these pancakes ! And let me just tell you that my experience was just awful....

two bananas & four eggs

I mashed everything together

Add to skillet

& flip

And there are the pancakes!

it was so BITTER and disgusting, I almost threw up in mouth just now thinking about it... When I searched around the internet I wasn't really told not to use "non-ripe" bananas.. And even watching videos of people making the pancakes, they used regular bananas.

I won't totally write the pancakes off....I'll just have to wait until my bananas are ripe and try it again LOL..

Surprisingly I'm still at the same weight, even after my 2 weeks of detox but I have been cheating..  I'm seriously slacking here, I kind of feel like a bad candidate for this whole experience, but then when you think about it... that is what I'm here form, to write down the struggle.. and this is my struggle!

Well check-up on me next week for another update =)

REVOLT

So the past 2 weeks haven't been the greatest. Everyone has to know by now that my job sucks, and I'm just plain old stressed out...

So like I said I would do, I went back to detox week this past week. (week #1) because the week before was just terrible. I have to admit I had struggles (yes I stole Josiah's bite of pizza!) But I made it through this week!I'm not cheating today because I have cheated here and there throughout the week. I told yall this wouldn't be a walk in the park for me..

I didn't have my meals already cooked for the week. I kind of just went on a daily basis and made my baked chicken and salad, or went to the store and bought a one.Or just didn't eat at all. When I work over night shift I'll have my chicken with me but for some reason I just can't eat.

Another good thing about this revolt journey would be the ladies involved in it! I got an email on Facebook, from another lady who is in the same boat & has a lot going on too. We exchanged information and have been talking about our struggles. We message each other when we have cravings, urges, and it's kind of like an AA meeting through texts. LOL

I haven't weighed myself since last week. But I am going to start now and also taking pictures every week would be great. Of course I would think of this so late, right? So here it is....
I'm weighed in this morning at 151 lbs
Now when I started I was at 157lbs

I really am trying to make life changes with this. I am still learning to get in control of my will-power!

REVOLT

Well I wanted to write about how good I've been doing, but that would be a lie! I have not gone through with the meal plan and I only did two workouts this week. I see all these ladies losing all this weight on facebook but because I'm going through so much it's really hard to keep up with the workouts and even harder to keep up with the meal plans.

This past week has been very stressful. I applied for so many jobs, and one called me back for an interview the next day. But I got my hopes too high, hoping to put my two weeks in and stop doing these overnight shift.. and now they pushed the second interview back to April 9th. Any who...

Although I have lost a few pounds during this challenge, it isn't where I want to be so I'm going to do the detox again next week. I'll be drinking nothing but water.. and eating my salad and chicken.. and doing ALL of the workouts.. hopefully this will get me back to where I want to be. Temptation is a motherfucker and it's really hard to stop my cravings for a burger while I'm on the run. And on the run is my way of life right now.

catch me next week for a better update!!! holla!

REVOLT ; GET MORE GREEN

So everyone knows by now that i'm this REVOLT meal plan and workin out hard ! So I just wanted to share a tip with y'all on "dieting" ...

Get More of the Green Stuff

While more cash is great, I'm actually talkin the
leafy green vegetable lol... My favorite is baby spinach! I eat it all
the time.
I love it in my salads. Not every in this house is a fan of it, especially not Josiah. I even heard about filling up my pasta dishes with this. This way, you get to enjoy the meal but you'll be filling up on spinach and not carb-heavy pasta! I have yet to try this, but I will soon !

My
other green friend is lettuce. I like to buy the big heads and
use the crunchy hearts for salads. Those big, floppy outer leaves are my
secret weapon for sandwiches and hotdogs.....instead of bread!

GENIUS!!!

Who would have ever thought of this idea?!? Wrap
them around some deli turkey with a dab of low fat honey mustard & a piece of cheese and
you'll never go back to bread. And the fact that you are skipping carbs and will look great this
summer isn't a bad either!

Now this past week on my revolt journey has been terrible!! I've gotten use to not eating the JUNK, the hard part for me is still planning and cooking the meals weekly, working and Josiah, take most of my time. yes, I have been hittin the gym like a crazy person and so far I'm actually at 155lbs. through this whole process I've gained one pound.I can kind of see fat disappearing from my back (also known as my back fat) BUT I still have a lot to lose, because my stomach is still there. I can't help but to think it's from the one bite I take a day of something I'm not suppose to be eating! Or that one meal I have to eat pizza because I'm at work with no dinner at 1 or 2 in the morning! BUT I know it's from lack of sleep and staying up and eating for about 48 hours straight. I can't wait until I get my normal hours back. I just want to eat and sleep normal again!

Revolt Link-up

Good Saturday Morning y'all!

Today I'm here today to tell you about my revolt journey. I will be linking up every Saturday for the next 6 weeks. (at the least) with Jill @ Forever the Brave.  If you don't know what the whole revolt rage is about you can check out my recent post about it HERE.

Everyone that knows me, knows that working out and meal planning is "not my thing"... But when someone offers your free meals plans and free workout plans for 6 weeks, who wouldn't take that?!

This past 2 weeks have been like hell! lol I just wanted to get that out! I love my donuts, chips, and coffee creamer! The first week was the "Sugar Detox".  I did have one creamer in my coffee every morning because I sometimes have to stay up for 48 hours and I NEED my coffee, and black coffee is just something I CANNOT do! Although this week hasn't been so bad as far as the meal plan, I still haven't eaten any sweets, in place of dessert I eat a cutie or pistachios (since I have recently become addicted to both)

Every Saturday is my free day, but since I have cheated a little through-out the last two weeks as far as the creamer goes (& bites of Josiah's chicken nugget).... I will not be using these days to my advantage! OKAY! maybe I WILL! hahaha I even vowed to workout on the "rest days". Yes we have two rest days a week, but I have chosen to work out a minimal of 30 minutes those days as well. Since I plan on getting my gym membership next week. I'm going to make it into my daily routine from now on.

eww...i also found out...men like butt sweat?!?!?!? LMAO!

My starting weight as of Sunday March 2nd 2013, was 157. Last week the 9th I weighed 154, lost a total of 3 lbs. Remind you that was "detox week". This week I might have gained 1lb back....sooo that's 2lbs in two weeks.. not like other woman have been doing but, good enough for me?! I plan on keeping this up. my life style will be for ever changed!  Less Sodas & sweets and more workouts...at least that's the plan & we all know how plans go!!! lol Hopefully I can keep up with Nichole and her workouts!

Now is the perfect time to join me and hundreds of other people on this adventure to get fit and healthy!

REVOLT

So I know that I have mentioned before that I got asked to join the team REVOLT, a new 12 week(two 6 consecutive week) program with meal plans, workouts, cooking, and more! I am going to do at least one post a week directly about my journey, Starting

I have chosen to give it a shot! pow-pow!

I know that this process will not be easy, and even if I choose to go back to what I was doing before this, it will still feel like a huge accomplishment. FOR ME at least. I have a three year old son who loves to eat pizza, noodles, and a lot of bread, AND I work 5 days a week OR MORE, so to sit here and tell you that I am going to make it with out breaking even a little, is going to be a LIE! I might steal a bite out of this pizza once but I will not indulge and feel guilty anymore! I will also be working out on a regular basis.

"What is Revolt?"

I know you are all wondering at this point, what foods I had to cut out ;

SUGAR, FLOUR, BREAD AND BAKED GOODS, PASTA OF ANY KIND, POTATOES, CORN OF ANY KIND, PIZZA, WHITE RICE, RICE CAKES (EXCEPT FOR POST WORKOUTS) SUGARED CEREAL, FRUIT JUICES, SODA, CANDY, CHIPS, PRETZELS, ANYTHING MADE OF FLOUR, SUGAR, POTATOES , CORN, CORN SYRUP, ECT.

  (GASPS)

I know you are all thinking (well if you know me), NO coffee creamer, NO more PASTA

&@($^(#%$()& what the @#%#%&)$

yeah that's what I said...... I mean I can do without sugar(for the most part), until it comes with my coffee....and I have been trying to do the no creamer a couple of times to try to get a feel for it, BUT that is one thing I don't know how I am going to survive without ! So I've decided that I won't be cutting that out. I only drink one cup a day and not too much creamer. with working out and cutting out all the others I think i'll be ok! lol -_- basically im going to stick with main foods, like egg whites, lean meat, veggies, protein shakes, granola bars for snacks. simple! I've gone three days now without pizza, bread, pasta, rice, or diet(any) soda!!!!! and I actually think I can do this! We also have one free day, Saturday. ;)

Now on to the work outs. The Revolt workouts are an intense blend of interval, strength, body
weight, plyometric, kettle bell, tabata style training and so forth. You download
the workouts online and can save on your smartphone
to take to the gym or you can follow the daily videos. Always fresh new workouts, in a structured plan that
will progress your body and give you the results you want.I was going to sign up for a gym membership but right now it's not in the budget so i'll have to stick with doing my routine at home.

They also have about 70 bloggers ready to start with me & I couldn't be more excited then to share my experience with everyone! Before pictures are up on our closed group, I might think about posting them here when I shed something LOL. I can't wait for summer now! I hope that some of you will join on me on my way to a new life style!
