What to wear is more important than anything.
Thinking about Holiday Party Outfits this week. What to wear? Go for fashion? function? Holiday Sweaters? Turkey Feather Couture? No idea. I've kind of become inspired by this house and it's total 1940s feel. I picture myself as a glamourous Donna Reed type housewife, wearing the heels and pearls everyday. Yes, this dress is made of silk, but I'm going to prepare a turkey wearing it, dammit. Because that's how we roll.
I love love love this dress. But the neckline is really low, like xiphoid process exposing low... So boom, add a V-neck T. then for more congruency and coverage, layer a couple necklaces. It's like "put a bird on it", just *put a necklace on it*. hahha.
Dress - Adrianna Papel (gift of JC)
T - Express
Necklaces - NYC street
Heels - Thrifted
I'm also wearing M's Ariel wig from halloween. I love it. It's so awesome. Actually I did have red hair a couple of years ago (see photo below). Check out how little M is, omg, such a little nugget. I'm sure I'll go red again, but I feel like my current hair-color is so easy to maintain, the red actually required so many touch ups, but it was fun. :-)

DIY - Repairing the Roos aka "The People's Champs"
These are the best shoes. "The People's Champ" of shoes. So comfy. Freakin Retro Like A Boss, Great Color. Gives a good leg-line when paired with dark jeans (the only jeans we would wear anyways)
Unfortunately the Roos suffered a blow-out, and I've still been wearing them with this going on for several weeks. I can (as you can see) fit three solid fingers in there, so we're pretty much dilated to 2-4 cm.. Hahah, almost time to have a baby through that gaping hole. So since I was getting all DIY up in here yesterday, I decided to just fix the Roos too.
I found some really really sticky blue tape. It reminded me of Leukotape that we use in the PT profession. Super tough too. So I stuck some inside and kind of placed the ends of the blow-out back together like a little puzzle, then when that was pretty secure I topped it with another piece of tape, and then drew a Happy Face on it.
Just for safety sake I put a small piece of tape in the same location on the other shoe, it was almost ruptured as well.
SUCCESS!!!!!!!!

Heartwarming Smile
When I think of my mom nothing in could even describe how much I love her! Even though the cost of a gift doesn't express the amount of love but a nice picture to capture the memories does. This is why I got my mom this Mothers Poem Frame. This is really adorable and a great way to capture memories. Whats are the ways you express your love, and gratitude to Mom or anyone who’s been like a mother to you? This frame measure 8”x 10” and holds a 4” x 6” picture. DIY FTW !! *Make Your Own Fabulous Metallic Candy-Striped Heels*
I have Runway Rehearsal for the "Styles in the City" Detroit Fashion Expo (website here) tomorrow and I was looking at my "walking" heels.... Thinking damn, they are looking pretty beat up. I've been practicing my little heart out trying to perfect my Joan Smalls-esque maximum swagger *i run everything on earth* walk (click here to see hers, it's perfection) and it's been putting some wear and tear on the Pamela Heel which i got on clearance at Target (buy here). So i thought, i'm going to make a freaking amazing pair of PINK AND GOLD RUNWAY STOMPERS!! BOOM BOOM BOOM!
So here's what I started with. The shoes, Masking tape, Gold spray paint.Taped the shoes. I thought diagonal stripes would look super rad.
One Sprayed! Looking awesome! Oh yeah, i put some paper inside the shoe to protect it, and so i wouldn't have gold feet after wearing them, which i wouldn't really have a problem with.
Two shoes done, now wait a bit, but not too long, because I want the tape to come off cleanly.
FINAL RESULT!!! How Cool Are These!!!! YAYAYAYYAY!

Free Art Friday... How Cool Is That?
Ok, so M and I were just kickin around town. Went and did some parkour, got some cookies, went to visit some doggies we like... and we were walking down the sidewalk ready to stroll home and saw this painting leaning against one of the planters downtown. I said, "WHOA! That's a painting! Why is it there?" M asked, "Can we keep it?" This note was attached to the back (see below), here's the Facebook page for the group of obviously really cool people that do this (click here)
How Awesome! I thought, "I OUR TOWN?" This is wayyyyy too cool. Then I just felt like if I was taking a piece of art, I should leave one for someone else to find. So we ran home... And took this flower painting that I did off the wall (see below, with my new acquisition)
So then we ran back down to town to drop off my free piece of art for someone else to find. I just attached the same note to the back. I hope whomever finds it likes it! So amazing! I hope to do the same thing next friday! (Below, with my free art offering to the universe)
