Styles In The City 2012 - Huge Collection of Runway Shots

I think this is the most extensive collection of "Styles in the City 2012" photos from the Runway that I have seen thus far. I was excited to see how my looks worked on the runway, and I wanted to post this so everyone else could see how amazing they did. All Photos Credits: The Fabulous JC

All of these garments are by local Detroit designers. If you are interested in any of the pieces, please email me - readydressedgo@gmail.com
I will get you in contact with the designers and/or where to purchase the clothing.

Dec 3 - Vanessa **Maximum Athleticism**

It's super warm today. I love it. Michigan weather is the shizzzzz. It's December, it snowed already at one point. Now today, it's foggy as all get out, and warm and lovely. No coat needed. Tomorrow we'll probably have some sort of Snow Monsoon. No one knows. It's chaos theory at work.

Spatzle and I are just waiting for M to get out of school and goofing around. Not a great light day for photography, but that's ok. I'm working some cozy layers today and my fav snake boots.

T Shirt Dress - Charlotte Ronson
Sweater - Le Tigre
Leggings - Nine West
Snake boots - Nine West

I decided to see how high I could jump, Spatz thought this was super hilarious and a great plan. Check out my vertical leap, that is at least 60 inches. It's really hard for the camera to capture such physiological greatness, but you get the point. I'm kind of like this guy:

2 Things you NEED NOW.

After the Lion's game today.... Ugh, I still have no idea what happened at the very end. I mean, really? But I keep telling myself, "I was not on that field, I have no idea what the plan was.... So just forget about it." and everyone knows the best way to forget about sad things is to go shopping. Luckily Somerset is right on my way home. This cannot be a coincidence.

Little did I know they were having some **SHOE SALE JAMBOREE!!** and after I walked around the mall for awhile, watching bench after bench-full of sad looking middle aged men waiting for their wives to get finished shopping (why did they come?) I walked into Nordstrom, my fav store, and was blown away by the SHEER BEAUTY AND GLOW OF THOUSANDS OF GORGEOUS SHOES JUST WAITING FOR ME!! YAY!

I ended up getting 2 pairs of BEAUTIFUL FLAWLESS Enzo Angiolini "Tanen" Pumps! One pair in nude and one in black. Something that every single person on Earth needs in their closet and I did not have. I mean, you know me, Yes- I have cheetah print, hot pink, gold stripe, etc etc. But no go with everything basic heels, so i scored them tonight!!

Could I BE any happier!!??

Seriously in love. And because I had a gift card, I ended up only paying $5.49 for these 2 pairs of GORGEOUS STUNNING shoes.
Another thing I acquired this weekend that I think everyone needs is a pair of these leggings. **WARNING: I DO NOT ADVOCATE LEGGINGS AS PANTS, ONLY UNDER SKIRT/DRESS/SHORTS**
These leggings are Nine West Seamless, they come in a pack kind of like tights. They are completely opaque, super comfy, amazing. I bought a L/XL due to my extra long leggies, and they fit wonderfully. They are kind of like the thickest pair of footless tights you can imagine. Amazing. I want them in every color.

Styles in the City 2012 - Runway Video & Photos

So more coverage keeps trickling in from the Fabulous **Styles in the City** Expo/Fashion Show. I did not bring my Camera Man on this night, he was watching the little ones. Above is SUPER AWESOME Video Coverage by "Tell Us Detroit". I love it. I'm in two of the runway scenes, the only blonde. Also, when I saw this video for the first time, I had no idea that the whole U Gotta Have It dress was sheer in the back. Yep.

Here are the latest shots of me. Photo Credits: Thomas B. Richardson
You can see the rest of the album on ERollins Group's Facebook Page (click here)

Wearing this beautiful gown by *U Gotta Have It*. Jewelry by Clasp Jewelry Styling (page here) Actually I was the last look of the whole show in this. The whole back is sheer. It's really simple, but so elegant and lovely.

At the end of the runway in this SUPER GORGEOUS Fotoula Lambros suit. Jewelry by Clasp Jewelry Styling. I wanted to keep this sooooo badly. I wish you could see the rest of the suit. This is my husband's favorite photo.

End of the runway in Francine Houston. The print of this dress really put it off the charts. Such a basic design, but when you use a graceful playful print, it really brings it alive.

Next model casting is Wednesday!! Wish me luck!

Liebster Blog Award!!

We WON A LIEBSTER AWARD FROM **Oh Sew Fashion** (click here for her awesome blog)

That means that she loves us and we love her and that we have this fun interview to do, so wanna hear it? Here it go:

1. What is your dream job?
I kind of feel like I am living my dream job right now. I take care of my awesome kids, and I am active in the artistic community and I get to do a lot of shopping. My life kind of is a dream. But if I had to select a salaried job, i think I would like to be a pro-beach volleyball player or professional tennis player. and then part-time as a spa treatment tester. Especially for massages. (i need one)

2. What is the reason behind your blog name?
I'm a sporty chic, and usually getting ready in the morning is kind of like a race. so I thought "READY... DRESSED... GO!" was a good name, because it implies the sort of life where you constantly feel like you're being shot out of a cannon, but you are doing it looking fly as hell.

3. Going to an island, what are the 3 beauty products you would take?

  • SUNSCREEN, a 50 gallon drum of 100 spf sunscreen
  • Coconut Oil - because you can use it for everything hair/skin/nails
  • Kiehl's Lip Balm - with Spf 15. it's the best ever.

4. Favourite way to spend your free time?
Shopping and Thrifting and Vintageing. Also running and biking and walking uptown and getting cookies, going to the park with my kids. getting martinis with my lovelies, getting my nails did.

5. If you had 3 wishes, what would they be?

  • World Peace
  • 24/7/365 Sunscreen for all people
  • One massage per day for the rest of my life.

6. Favourite item of clothing in your wardrobe?
That's a tough one. I have so many things I love. I would say maybe my vintage 1970s Pam Grier dress (see it here). I also love my Mackage winter coat. And my Nine West snake boots (see here)

7. If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?
I want to go to The Seychelles Islands. Don't you?

8. Favourite place to shop?

  • The Salvation Army- i find amazing stuff here
  • JoAnn Fabrics- i make amazing stuff i get from here
  • Neiman Marcus- great creative selection

9. Lipstick or lipgloss... and what's your favourite colour?
I love MAC "pink lemonade" gloss. I also like the Clinique Chubby Stick in Chunky Cherry.

10. Who is your favourite fashion designer?
So hard to decide. As far as current... I love Kate Spade, Falguni & Shane Peacock, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton

11. What do you think of my blog?
I love you blog, you are a creative gorgeous wonderful woman and I love you!!

Neiman Marcus for Target Collection!

So after talking to my fellow twitter fashionistas this morning, I decided I had to get to this quick. Everyone was saying that the Target for Neiman Marcus (click here to check out all the items online) items were selling out as quickly as they were being put out on the shelves. So i thought, "OMG!! Let's go! Hopefully I can get SOMETHING!!"
So I show up at Target at GLC, the Neiman Marcus items are stuck in a remote corner of the store, no one is there, no one understands what is going on. EVERY ITEM is available. It's funny, because if you look at the above neiman's website, many items say "sold out" welp, not at our Target. Everything is there, intact, undisturbed, just waiting for someone to realize how special it is. Here's what I thought were the best things:

AMAZING MARCHESA DRESS FOR LITTLE GIRLS!!
How gorgeous is this!! Look at that beading! and the knife pleating! So beautiful! 1000 on the rack. Go GET EM!

Brian Atwood studded gloves. 10,000 pairs available. I think these are cool. Kind of a gauntlet length, but I really wish they were a different color. like a deep purple or oxblood.

Tory Burch lunch set. Box and Thermos! How FREAKING CUTE! Buy one for every person you know, there are a trillion there.

Alice + Olivia bike. So cute. I love this thing. I'm trying to convince DH I need this.
